Larry Koonce | About

Oil- and gas-industry veteran Larry M. Koonce founded North American Drilling Corporation (NADC) in 2006, where he leads the company as President and Chief Executive Officer. In only six years under Mr. Koonce’s leadership, the Plano, Texas-based firm has drilled more than 50 wells in Texas in its exploration for natural gas and crude oil. NADC reworks its existing wells and seeks new drilling opportunities, with wells now in the development phase down to a depth of 10,000 feet. Larry M. Koonce brought a lengthy resume of drilling, operations, and management successes as well as key relationships in the industry to the enterprise.

A graduate of Texas Tech University, where he received a B.B.A. in Management and Marketing, Larry M. Koonce gained expertise in all phases of oil and gas investment and production over the course of more than 15 years prior to founding NADC. He acted as President of a different oil and gas exploration firm headquartered in Plano for seven years. He also served as Vice President of an oil and gas exploration operation based in Dallas.

Larry M. Koonce’s areas of expertise include reviewing pertinent geological and other reports and assisting in the selection of drilling prospects. He has supervised drilling operations, negotiated contracts, managed field operations, overseen marketing programs, identified and acquired investments, and fulfilled numerous related duties. A member of the Wildcatters Club and the North Texas Oil and Gas Association, Larry M. Koonce shares his success by assisting charities through his participation in long-distance cycling events. He rode in the Lone Star BP MS 150, the Team LIVESTRONG Challenge, and the Make-A-Wish Foundation Wish 100. Larry M.
